I hope everyone is having a blessed week 4! :) I sure did have fun this past Tuesday, although we did miss Mark Daniel and Benjamin. I hope that Mark Daniel had a great trip and that Benjamin is feeling loads better now.
We did a good bit of our memory work this week using animals. Stuffed animals that is. The kids had a blast matching the numbers attatched to each stuffed animal to the skip counting group we were working with. When all of the animals were with "their number" we sang the skip counting song.
I was really impressed this week with how great everyone is tracing the U.S.A. They get better and better at it every week! And, of course, our yummy snack of goldfish helped us locate our new states and capitals!
As always, science was super cool! We got to touch sheep brains!!! EEEEEWWWW COOL!!!! You can't get much more real than that!
Last, but not least, we used a puppy hunt game to go over our previous memory work. This was similar to an Easter egg hunt ,only we used puppies. Each child got a clue on a paw print as to where their puppy was. When they found it there was a memory review card attatched to it. Memory work can be a game!!!
Looking forward to seeing everyone in class this Tuesday!!!
Blessings,
Mrs. Kyle
